BiPolar Bears

Memorial Hall, Wednesday 10th February 2010
as part of the St Kilda Festival Live and Local program

I had heard of the BiPolar Bears before the documentary on SBS about them and one of their former lead singers used to sing at Kooky Karaoke at the Greyhound occasionally, but I was busy when they did their EP launch at Pure Pop a few weeks ago, so I was glad to get the chance to see them during the St Kilda Festival.

Arriving about half an hour early as usual, I got to see the last part of the stand-up contest MCed by Brad Oakes and see the bearded twins act, whose name I had forgotten.

I don't know why so many people had to leave as soon as the comedy finished, it wasn't that late for a week night and it was too hot to go home anyway. I thought the band played well and they even had to turn it down due to a noise complain - Rock!
