Bay of Pigs - Valentine's Day Show

Northcote Social Club
Wednesday, 14th February 2007

It's always good to go out on Valentine's Day rather than sitting at home moping, so I was glad to be invited to this gig by Big Kev. It was a bit different from last year where I saw a very different type of show, but I thought it was great.

Thanks to Big Kev, Simon, George and friends who let me sit at their table while they had dinner out on the deck as I wouldn't have had anyone to talk to otherwise.

It was good to see the decorations for the show as someone cut up some pristine 1970's Playboys for the "Triptych of Love" at the rear of the stage and the twin golden pigs were great.

I thought the Pigs' played great and I am looking forward to hearing their new album when they release it later this year. Cheers to Big Kev's friends who I sat on a table with and JVG.

Unfortunately I had to catch the tram straight after the show, so I didn't get to stay for a drink and a chat, but I am sure everyone had a good time. Hopefully the Bay of Pigs can do something similar for next year as I am sure lots of people will come.
