Community Cup Training 2007
Arden St Oval, Wednesday 13th June 2007
Two weeks to go until the big day and you can feel the excitement building
in the air as the players dig out their mouldy footy boots and put their
footy shorts through the wash.
I was joined on my walk to Arden St by Dan Warner, but it is unclear whether
he was playing or just there for moral support.
After the lads kicked the footy around a bit, it was up to the rooms for
a pep-talk and the official business for the night.
With that out of the way, it was time for a lap of the oval, some stretching
and kicking practise. At this point I thought it best to skedaddle as it started
to rain and people would have picked on my flowery umbrella (my friend gave it to me!)
It was hard to tell who was performing the best on the night as it was so dark,
but Wally Meanies dog was hard at it and rang rings around everyone.
I am sure everyone had a good training session and a beer by an open fire later.
Go the Rockdogs and I'll see everyone at the match if not at the Megahertz "Team of the
Decade" bash next week.
