Clip Clop ClubGeorge Public Bar, Saturday 10th January 2009 I had been meaning to go see the Clip Clop Club at the GPB for a while, but I have always seemed to end up there without my camera for some reason. They did play a gig in 2006 at the Pint, but that was a one-off and it is best to see them in their natural environment. I didn't have any particular plans for that Saturday until I had bumped into Wes and Horse at a cafe on the Windsor end of Chapel St and ended up promising to come down to see them. I always try to do what I say I will, so the next Saturday I turned up to see them in what turned out to be one of their first gigs back for the year. I only ended up staying for two sets, but still got to see most of the old favourites and also seeing Big Jim picking up all the chicks in the set breaks while the rest of the band was outside getting some "fresh air". I have since found out that they are playing on the same billing as the Band Who Knew Too Much at "the festival of beers" at The Local the day before Australia Day next week, which should be a good one as the Large Number 12's are playing at the Pint on the same day. |
