Cuties, Curves and Classics Calendar Launch
Night Cat I only found out about this event a couple of weeks ago, but I had been looking forward to attending as I missed Man's Ruin performing on Grand Final Eve and I hadn't seen two of the other acts before. Benny and Fly By Nighters were also going to be the house band for the night and I was able to get my friend to come along also as she goes to see them regularly. I had also gone to Night Cat the night before for the Fitzroy Shorts screening night that I go to each month. It is difficult to really talk about the different acts that performed as the photos I took on the night tell the story in this case. I did enjoy the wide variety of styles they performed in even though the groups are all burlesque performers from around town. I liked all the peformers so it is difficult to say which one was my favourite. Another highlight of the night was the auction of several photos and a print from the calendar. Even though the same peopel seemed to bid for each item, they still sold them very well. I also thought the magician was funny as his rabbit managed to upstage him just by drinking out of a glass of water while he was waiting. Also I liked that I was able to introduce my friend to one of the performers on the night and they seemed to get on well together. I had a really great time and I am sure everyone else did also.
