The Detonators Top Night Out CD launch
with Nailhead
East Brunswick Club
Friday, 7th September 2007
I hadn't been up to the East Brunswick Club to see a gig since the start of the year so I was looking forward to getting back there as I enjoy taking photos there. I even managed to make it early enough to have dinner (Hawaiian chicken parma) and will try to do so in the future.
Nailhead was the support band for tonight and they played really well considering it was their first proper gig. They play in a more jazz rockabilly style which was interesting as there were a lot more instrumentals.
I expected the Detonators to play a great show as it was their CD launch and wasn't disappointed. Quite a few people travelled a fair way for their CD launch and I am sure they all had a great time. My friend even managed to make it to the second set after her shift and enjoyed herself.
Special mention to the women dancers in cowboy boots who I managed to have a chat to after the show. Hopefully I will see them around in the future as they said they had heard of me before.
Somehow I had overlooked purchasing any Detonators CDs in the past, but made up for it on the night by buying their new one and will try to get a few more in the future.
It was a great night and I the Detonators are well worth going to see if they play near you one time as they play all over.
