The Dingoes

with Mick Thomas and Michael Barclay
Caravan Music Club, Wednesday 4th August 2010

I had been looking forward to this gig even though I had a very busy couple of weeks already with the film festival. It has been a while since there was a mid-week gig at the Caravan Music Club and it was always going to be a big night as it sold out well in advance.

It is always good to see Mick Thomas and it was good to see him play with Michael Barclay after only seeing him play solo the last couple of times I have seen him.

I have to admit I have not seen the Dingoes before as I was too young when they were still playing gigs in the 70s. I did enjoy their songs and didn't know they were the ones who first did "Way Out West" but it was good to hear their version. They have a new album out and I am sure it will go well.

There are some big gigs coming up at the Caravan Music Club including a return show by Shane Howard that should be great.
