Fred's Birthday
with the Steely and Lush, Fred & Evo, The Eggs, The Twits I hadn't seen the Twits since November as I missed their Christmas show so I was looking forward to their first show for the year. There were meant to be some other bands on the bill, but they cancelled and Steely and Lush filled in along with the Eggs who were also great. Thanks to Evo for getting up and singing a few songs with Fred including Beer Sandwich. I wish more people had turned up but the Twits were great as always and everyone in the bar got to sing happy birthday to Jackie along with making "I am legend" jokes throughout the night (I've seen gigs with fewer people there though.) Cheers to Lisa Tonks, Geoff, Ric and friends who turned up as they had a good night. The Twits had a very good night as their stuff was still there when I went back the next day. I may as well have stayed there as I sat up to watch Apocalypse Now Redux when I got home (turned the TV on to Colonel Kilgore's scene.) |
