Glen & the Peanutbutter Men CD Launch
with The Twits, Sëbasröckets YAY!!!!!!!!!!! I hadn't seen Glen and the Peanutbuttermen since the stinking New Year's Eve in 2005 and the Twits aren't playing as much this year. I wanted to go to this gig even though I had the very big closing party for the Spanish Club the next day. The Twits were up first and played as well as always. Some people turned up at 2am expecting them to be on I heard, what a laugh. Sëbasröckets were up next and were a different style of music than I usually see so I took the opportunity to go talk to the Twits and take some funny photos. Glen and the Peanutbuttermen were great and the crowd really got into them during their set. I also bought their new EP which was a bargain for $5 on the night. They are more traditional British style punk and Glen even has the nasal 'YAY!' down, which I had fun imitating throughout the night. That's two gigs at Pony in two weeks for me, I will see how I go in the future but will definitely try to come if any bands I know are playing there.
