Chuck's Wagon

with Den Hanrahan
Greyhound Hotel, Sunday 4th January 2009

My friend sent me a SMS asking me if I would come to this gig as I was planning on going to see a couple of films at the cowboy film festival at ACMI instead (Shakespeare was a Big George Jones Fan/Townes Van Zandt Be Here to Love Me.) I wouldn't have known Dougie Bull was playing with Den Hanrahan otherwise and would have kicked myself for missing him.

I had seen Chuck's Wagon when they came down last, but it was a different line-up this time. I thought they went well.

Den Hanrahan also went well with his set with the added bonus of his daughter watching and dancing to the songs with Waz E. James.

Fred and Johnny would have wanted me to stay for karaoke, but I had a training course to start the next day. My friend said she had a good time having a late dinner and going out dancing with "Dancemaster" Dougie afterwards though.
