The Band Who Knew Too MuchGreyhound Hotel, Sunday 8th February 2009 I had been up until 3am listening to the news on ABC 774 radio so I just wanted a break from it during the day. I don't really like the St. Kilda Festival too much these days, but I did manage to get down and see my friends who were working on one of the food stalls near Luna Park. Even though I knew I wouldn't be able to get in, I called in to Pure Pop Records to find Gleny Rae, Dougie Bull and Suzannah Espie waiting outside. They got in, but I wasn't 'rock' enough to get in - Pah! By 4pm I was down at the Greyhound waiting for the band to start as I didn't want to have anything to do with all the crowds. The Band Who Knew Too Much were great on the day, but I wish more people had've turned up. Fred Negro got up to sing for a couple of songs and even did a horsey solo with a mannequin hand that was miked-up properly. As with last time I did try and ring my friends during "the swimming song" so they could play it down the phone, but it never works (Dave didn't yell out to Jackie this time though.) The next gig of this band I will be able to make is the 22nd of February at the Pint, it should be great as my friends are going to get all their friends to come along.
