Deborah Conway & Willy Zygier Half Man Half Woman CD Launch

with Phia and special guest James Black
Caravan Music Club, Friday 10th September 2010

I had the previous week off to go see Xiu Xiu across town, but had heard it was a good show with Stephen Cummings and co. I hadn't seen Deborah Conway before and was looking forward to seeing her play.

Cheers to Sue who was on the door by her lonesome this week due to birthdays and people being in Paris. Luckily it wasn't super-busy like when I was there for Shane Howard last time.

Phia played support and I liked their songs including the one they played on pots and pans.

Willy Zygier started off the first set and played some great instrumental pieces as part of the "Half Man Half Woman" part of the evening. I did like hearing the new album and it was good that they were able to do one set of the new set and the second set of all the old favourites.

It was a great night and I am looking forward to Vika and Linda Bull coming up and then the Grand Final Eve pie night with a cast of thousands.
