Hell City Glamours
with the Lightning Strikes, Devil Rock Four I had met the boys from the Hell City Glamours a couple of years ago at a BBQ, but as things turned out I hadn't been able to see them play a gig in Melbourne until now. Luckily I just got a new job so I was able to make it to this gig and have a few "Hell City" shots during the night. There was a pub crawl that turned up early, but they buggered off as soon as Lightning Strikes started. It is always hard to play the first band slot at Ding Dong and it was good to see them go well. I had heard of the Devil Rock Four, but haven't seen them until now so it was good to see the reaction they got from the crowd and also my friends turned up during their set. Lots of the Hell City Glamours friends turned up for their show so it was packed down the front. I ended up watching half of their set from the side Mo was on and the other half from the side where I watched the Living End/had bottles thrown at my head by Ben from SixFtHick last time. I hardly ever get my non-band friends to come to gigs, but I will try to get them to come next time the Hell City Glamours are in town. Thanks for Mo for putting me on the door and I hope the band had a good night as I had to leave early as I had an appointment the next morning.
