If you want blood...CD Launch
Aurora, Orsen Eskabar, This War, Bittersweet Kicks Even though I was very busy that weekend, I still agreed to try and make it to this gig after being asked by Ben and given the new split EP that was being launched. Although these bands have played a fair bit at the Pint, I have only seen the Bittersweet Kicks as I don't go to the Thursday gigs usually when most of them seem to be playing. Aurora had some technical issues early, but still managed a great set and even did an impromptu blues jam when their microphones stopped working. Orsen Eskabar are definitely a band I will try to see in the future as they played really well and the lead singer was very energetic (his hair is great to photograph also.) This War were up next and I thought they did good considering everyone knicked off for some reason - bastards! Finishing off the night were the Bittersweet Kicks. The slam dancing was a bit rougher than I am used to so I ended up hiding behind the speakers for most of their set. Some of the Twits turned up about 30 seconds after they finished (they really did try to make it, but got stuck at the lights.)
