The Junes

with Leah Flanagan The East Brunswick Club, Saturday 7th February 2009

After locking myself in the house all day due to it being 46.4 degrees, I ended up arriving just in time as Leah Flanagan had already started. It makes a change from arriving an hour early at least.

I thought Leah Flanagan went really well and I hope she comes down from Darwin more often in the future. Liz Stringer helped out with her band, which was great as I haven't seen her play for years.

With Gleny Rae and Dougie Bull now living on the east coast of Australia at least, hopefully the Junes will play more often than once ever 6 months. Also it was great to see Gleny Rae and Dougie Bull again as they are always fun.

Cheers to Brooke as I danced with her for one of the songs and all the regular crew including Michael, who I filled in for on the merch when he went out for a smoke. I don't know who they were, but also the drunk women trying to remember the words to Rainbow Connection on the tram on the way home while singing it loudly were fun also.
