The JunesSt Kilda Bowling Club, Sunday 20th April 2008 Even after a very busy weekend I wasn't going to miss this gig and I knew there were other big things on in town the same day, but I had been looking forward to seeing the Junes for months. I was going to stay to see the start of the Rabbit & the Moll at the Pint, but ended up going down to the Bowlo to have dinner and drinks before the show. There was some concern that due to other things being on there wouldn't be many people, but it turned out to be a great night with a cricket team being in after their presentations and some of the regulars from other Junes gigs turning up also. Lots of people got on the dance floor in the second set and I even had a dance thanks to Kate and Gary. I don't know if I will make the Junes next gig at the Lomond, but I am looking forward to hearing their new CD and seeing their appearance on Spicks and Specks next month. |
