The JunesBar 362, Sunday 28th June 2009 I had known about this gig for a while and Chrissie sent me some flyers for this and upcoming gigs, which I passed on to people I thought who would be interested (most of the people I sent them to turned up, which was great.) This was the first Sunday arvo gig at the venue and what better band to have than the Junes. The venue suited them with all the mirror balls and flashing lights that seemed to go on randomly at first, then worked out better towards the end. The Junes are recording a new album and had the chance to test out some new songs, which sounded great. Gleny even got to have a dance on the podium with her accordion and I got some shots of the accordion on the podium with lights. Lots of people who used to go to the Greyhound came down to see Chrissie and Katie is working behind the bar, which was great. Next week Waz E. James is doing the Sunday arvo session, I will try to make it down after going to see Little Freddie and the Pops at Pure Pop. |
