MEOW
with The Hybernators, Brigitte Handley and the Dark Shadows, Kretch, The Vaudevillains, Frankie Valentine, Sarah Lea Cheesecake As I was looking forward to this gig I ended up arriving early and had to wait for everyone else to arrive. At least I got to go in out of the cold. Kretch were good, but I wanted to hang out with the Hybernators at the bar so I only saw the first couple of songs of their set. The Hybernators last performance was great and Bernie even got up on stage and sang with them. I think the footy went missing during 'footy' as I didn't see it after the second time it went into the crowd (it went over the bar at the Greyhound the previous night.) The best part of the running order was the Hybernators got to relax for the rest of the show and enjoy themselves after they got their set out of the way. Frankie Valentine and Sarah Lea Cheesecake performed in between the bands and I got some of my best photos ever of Sarah on the night, I hope she likes them. The Vaudevillains were great and got to fool around more than usual with Jim going off the stage to dance up the front. It was good to see them playing with the Hybernators one last time. Brigitte Handley and the Dark Shadows were the headline act and played very well. Unlike the previous night there were no snapping bass strings and Richard got to get up at the end and do a couple of songs with them. Thanks to Rosa for giving me a lift home and I will try to get to see the bands the different members of the Hybernators end up in the future.
