Prayerbabies at the Pint on Punt
with special guest drummer Fred Negro
Friday, 3rd November 2006
As well as being one of the first bands I photographed back in 2003, the Prayerbabies were the first band I went to see due to another band. Steve Prictor used to play their CD between acts during the Greyhound Karaoke and I went to see them at the Rosstown after that I think.
I hadn't taken photos at one of their gigs for a couple of years (with the choir), but I have been keeping up to date with what they have been doing and have been meaning to see them again.
For some reason I thought the choir was going to be singing with them also, although it would have been nice, it was probably too difficult to organise on short notice. There were quite a few people in the last few sets having fun though.
Fred even got to do a guest drumming spot during the second set when Pat was late coming back (Fred used to drum in the Editions.) Another audience favourite was their attempt at "Bad Boy for Love" despite not knowing the words in honour of Ian Rilen.
Hopefully the Prayerbabies will be back early next year with the choir or I will try and get to see them on the other side of town one time.
