Punk: A Photographic Journey Opening Night

with special guests The Worst
Gasworks Arts Park, Tuesday 23rd September 2009

Exhibition runs from 23 September to 2 November 2008

I spend most of my time when I am not at gigs looking at my own photos so I can sort through them and put them up on my website, so it is always great to get out to see an exhibition I am interested in. I don't really get into art photography so it was also great to see an exhibition that looked interesting in the Fringe Festival guide. I know taking a camera is often the last thing artists think of when opening their show as they are too busy. I am also going to another photo exhibition soon where I will be taking photos for the same reason.

It has been a couple of years since I went to Gasworks and it seemed pretty much the same. The best way to get there if you are not driving is get the Number #1 tram to the second stop from the beach and walk straight up the road to the Gasworks park. Thanks to Fred and Lush for giving me a lift back to the Pint afterwards as I would have been too wobbly to walk to the tram on my own.

If you are already going to Gasworks to see a show or just visiting the cafe, then I recommend you have a look at the exhibition.
