Jona Byron, Georgia Fields

Pure Pop Records, Sunday 10th January 2010

Georgia Fields played last week at Pure Pop, but I wanted to go see the Band Who Knew Too Much so I didn't go down, also due to Charlie Parr playing I wasn't sure I was going to be able to get in.

I hadn't seen Jona Byron before, but I thought he played great and also the woman singer who I have forgotten who played a few songs.

I had been meaning to see Georgia Fields for a while, but I always seem to have something else on. I even missed her singing with Yelka down at Queenscliff even if I did see her watching Aluka sing at the cafe in the main street. It was a hot day and Georgia doesn't often play solo, but I thought she did well and it was great to see her do two sets including her new song "please play my song on the radio".

Thanks to Dave for getting me a drink before the second set and I will try to get down to Pure Pop some time in the future.
