Rockabilly Rumble
with Manic Pistoleros, Flyin' Saucers, Firebird, Casino Rumblers A bit up and down as to whether I was going to this gig, but I did make it. Sambo and Llama were happy that I made it as I got to take lots of photos to show their friends, come on! You like it when I take photos don't you? I made it up for them by buying them a 'Zombie Killer' shot each. I don't remember seeing the Manic Pistoleros before, but I thought they went well even with the usual crowd at Ding Dong for the first couple of bands. The Flyin' Saucers are quickly becoming one of the bands I go to see the most with the Twits not having played for over a year and the Hybernators having a rest until it sorts itself out. I don't mind as it is always good to see them. Unfortunately, I can only get to their gigs in the inner city, but I am sure the ones out in the outer suburbs and country are great too. Big one coming up at San Remo. Firebird played very well and the double bass was fierce as ever. Scary looking slam dancing and circle pit up the front. No, it is not 'cute' as young kids are doing it. Another one of my friends turned up and Mo was playing with the Casino Rumblers, but it was just too loud for me to deal with as I had forgotten how loud the band plays. I am sure everyone else had fun though. Cheers to Guy and the little missus who I talked to on the way out.
