Suzannah Espie & The Last Word at the Retreat HotelSunday, 17th September 2006
I had been meaning to go see Suzannah last week as the Detonators were playing and my friend was also going to come. As it turned out neither of us ended up going but I did get to see my friend during the week. It has been a while since I have been to the Retreat as I seem to be going to the East Brunswick Club more often for CD launches in the past couple of months. I like being able to eat dinner and watch a band at the same time and there is no annoying partition through the middle of the room with only a small gap for people to get through. As always it was a great show and cheers to Nick, Cookie, Jules and some of the other people I ran into who I usually see at Sarah and Suzannah's gigs. I am looking forward to Sarah's gig at the Royal Melbourne Show next week and hopefully the Junes will play a gig at the same place in a couple of months. |
