St Patrick's Day 2007

Pint on Punt
with music by Frank Lee Earnest and the Empty Glasses

It's hard to believe that it has been four years since I had the chance to celebrate St Patrick's Day at the Pint on Punt. The Twits played an acoustic set there in 2004, I had CD launch to go to for the Toesucking Cowgirls across town in 2005 and my friend asked me to go to another gig last year. All things considered I would rather stay at the Pint from now on. I will even take the precaution of having the next day off as it is always a big one.

There were heaps of people in as the Grand Prix was also on this weekend so I expected the bar to be very busy and it was.

Frank Lee Earnest provided the background music for the drinking, but most people were busy getting into it. It's not compulsory to drink Guinness on this day, just drink what you normally do as it was a shame to see all the half-finished Guinness around the place from people who didn't really like it.

It was a great night and I am sure everyone had a good time. Hopefully by next year I will have a job and be able to join in the festivities a bit more.
