Fred's birthday 2010

with the Black Molls, Jack Rabbit and the Pubic Hares
Pint on Punt, Sunday 31st January 2010

After having to go home for a shower and almost falling asleep on the sardine-can tram on the way through from St Kilda beach (get on the one behind it for Christ's sake!) I arrived to find the band still setting up.

Jack Rabbit had played last year, but I had been down at Queenscliff that weekend. I hadn't seen them for over three years so it was great to see them again.

For Fred's birthday as well as Jack Rabbit playing, Fred and Dave did a few songs joined by Bec, and then did a couple of songs with the band and Ian sang Fred happy birthday and sang "Living in a Fred Negro Cartoon".

Fred and Bec had to go to karaoke in Richmond, but I was a bit too tired to go all the way across town again.

Benny and the Fly By Nighters

St Kilda Bowling Club, Sunday 31st January 2010

I thought I would call in to the St Kilda Bowling Club for a while as my friend said she was going to be there and as it turned out a lot of people from the Pint went there also (they had to close early at the Pint due to floor resurfacing.)

Benny and the Fly By Nighters were great and it is good to see some of the gigs there are being recorded.

Cheers to Rhianna and Leila and I am still looking forward to seeing their band play this year.
