Suzannah Espie & the Last WordGreyhound Hotel, Sunday 22nd June 2008 I hadn't seen Suzannah perform with her band the Last Word since last year as they have been playing across town at odd times that I couldn't get to. Even though Sarah was playing at the St Kilda Bowling Club, I wanted to go see Suzannah and even got there early. The first set had their slower, country material, but the second set fired up towards the end with the blues songs and their big ending number "I hope I will". It was good to hear some new songs and old favourites and also the new version of "City Station", done differently than they have been doing it in the past. I am looking forward to Suzannah's new album later in the year along with the 10 other CD launches I have to go to before the end of the year.
