The Vaudevillians CD Launch
with the Jacks, Flyin' Saucers, Bone Rattlers Almost a year since the Vaudevillians EP launch and I had been looking forward to them releasing their new CD for a while. I hadn't been to see a gig at the Arthouse for five years so I was also looking forward to seeing if anything had changed. Thankfully, it was just as I remembered it and the Jacks were the first up. I had forgotten how loud it was in there and I ended up having to get earplugs just this one time (I wouldn't have been able to stay otherwise.) The Flyin' Saucers were great and I am sure I will see them a lot more often in the future. I hadn't seen the Bone Rattlers since the Vaudevillian's EP launch last year and they had used one of my photos from that night on their EP, which was nice. I have no idea where the in-joke with the double bass player came from as I hadn't heard of it before. The Vaudevillians were great, but I had to go up the back after a couple of songs as it got too rough up the front in the pit. Although it settled down a bit in the slow songs, I had already gotten more than enough photos and people looked to be having too much fun up the front. I am sure the Vaudevillians new CD will do great and I will try to make it to more of their gigs in the future.
