Maggot Fest 2 at the Tote

with The Sailors, The Native Cats, Bitch Prefect, Woollen Kits, Terrible Truths, Unity Floors, Chook Race, Tax, Bad Aches, Marf Loth, Per Purpose, Deep Heat
The Tote, Saturday 29th October 2011

I had missed this event last year so I was looking forward to this year, especially since the Sailors were playing and I hadn't seen them for years. Even though I hadn't heard of a lot of the bands, I thought it would be a good opportunity to see some bands that were new to me and see how I went.

It turned out to be a lot louder than I thought it would be, I had to get earplugs by the end of the first band. There weren't really any stand-out bands from when arrived until I went to dinner down at the Gem, they all played well considering how quiet it was earlier in the day.

It was good to see the Chook Race again and also a few more people as the day went on. As I expected, a lot of people didn't turn up until just before the Sailors started.

I did enjoy seeing the Sailors and also the Native Cats as I haven't seen many bands using a game console as a sequencer. There is a lot on in November at the Tote, I will see how I go in going to gigs there as I have to work also.
