Tumbleweed at the Corner Hotel 24/06/11

with Don Fernando, the Level Spirits, Money For Rope, The Meanies
Corner Hotel, Friday 24th June 2011

As I ended up staying down the road at the Tiki Lounge for a bit longer than usual, I was running late and still wanted to see all the bands. It is a bit of a change from arriving early and having to stand around for half an hour before the doors open and then longer inside.

Don Fernando were about three quarters through their set and sounded OK to me.

I really wanted to get to the gig in time to see the Level Spirits and Molly as I have been seeing them a lot lately.

It was also great to see Money for Rope and I can see why my friends go to see them so much and even end up doing their merch at some gigs.

Due to there being so many members in Money for Rope, the Meanies played on the side stage and it was a bit too hard to get up the front to take photos, was good to see them despite Tumbleweed's sound check going on over the top of them.

Tumbleweed were a bit before my time, but it was still good to see them. It wasn't really a rough crowd up the front, but I was getting squashed in the corner and was going to see them play at half time on Sunday as it was so I decided to call it a night early. It was a good night and a good warm-up to the Community Cup weekend of festivities.
