Clairy Browne and the Bangin' Rackettes at the Toff in Town 21/08/12

I missed the first two Clairy Browne shows due to the film festival and having a rest before my exhibition launch, so I did not want to miss this show.

It was a big line up and I was looking forward to seeing Mojo Juju after hearing so much about her. Stella Angelico also did some songs as did Harry Angus and friends which went down well and were a good first half of the show.

There were several photographers and a film crew at this gig, so I had to move over and let the bloke filming get some space. I will get more photos of them next time.

I did end up staying to the end of the gig though and it was good to hear a new song during the set. There seemed to be a lot of new people at this gig and the band is getting a lot more of a following now. I remember last year it was only $10 to get into their residency and this time it was $20 on the door and it still sold out, which was great to see.

Their next big gig will be on Grand Final Eve at the Flying Saucer Club, but I am looking forward to seeing them at the Queenscliff Music Festival later in the year as hopefully they will be on the main stage.
