Crystal Thomas CD Launch at St Kilda Bowling Club 21/04/12

I knew they were going to be playing, but I hadn't expected to be able to see Even playing at Record Paradise on my way down to this gig as they still had a few songs to go when I was getting the tram down and could hear them from the other side of the road. It was good to see Mel there also and I did end up staying until they finished.

I could have stayed even longer as it was quite a while until the bands started when I arrived at the bowling club.

Harry Howard and the NDE played well first up and I got to say hello to Dave Graney afterwards.

Penny Ikinger also went well and by that stage there were quite a few people there.

I hadn't seen Crystal Thomas play since a set a Pure Pop quite a while ago and had not see her play with a full band. I thought the gig went well and I even got to talk to some of the boys from the Bittersweet Kicks as Taranto was playing with the band. For once I was able to stay for the full gig at the bowling club and got home reasonably early compared to the previous week.
