Dan Lethrbridge CD Launch at Bella Union 19/05/12

I had not known about this gig until a publicist contacted me through my website and asked me to come and take photos. I wasn't really planning anything on that night so decided to attend. For some reason I got the starting times mixed up and rushed dinner across the road at the John Curtin when I didn't need to.
I have been enjoying coming to see the Half Arsed Three gigs in the same venue for the past few years and don't often get to see a gig on the weekend there.
Young Werther was up first and I thought he went well. He also played a song with Dan Lethbridge.
Ash Davies turning up surprised me as I didn't know he played with Lisa Miller. It was funny as she didn't actually know I was there until after she asked me the time on stage and I answered her. It was good to see her again since Record Store Day recently. Shane O'Mara also had fun with his pedal board and did an extended guitar effects sequence.
Dan Lethbridge had a full band for this gig include a mini horn section and sounded great. I hadn't actually seen him before, but he did introducing himself to me before the gig and it was good enough for me to stay right until the end and also the encore. The album seems to be doing well I have heard and hopefully Dan will play lots more gigs around town in the future.
