Minibikes CD Launch at the Northcote Social Club 06/10/12

I had been looking forward to the CD launch for the Minibikes for ages as I was sent their new CD by Marcel last year and have listened to it when my CD player wasn't acting up. I remember going to one of the first gigs by the Minibikes in 2009 at the Marquis of Lorne and do still have their first EP somewhere.

Heavy Beach played well although I thought there would be more people given that the gig had gotten "Gig of the Week" in Inpress.

Bayou are another band I had not seen before and are from Perth it seems. As with the Nymphs I ended up taking a lot of photos of them due to pretty ladies. The lead singer went well on two different guitars, lead vocals and keyboards though.

Unfortunately, I had to leave early after the Minibikes came on although not that early, only at 12am and the band finished at 12.20am. It is pretty late for me and I was concerned with the change over for daylight savings a lot of trams were going to finish early that night I would be stuck. I already knew all the songs, but they did through in a couple of new ones. I did end up getting home, but due to daylight savings still did not get to bed until late, making the next day especially hard.
