Morning Ritual at Little King 19/11/12

with Sweet Jean, the Orbweavers
as part of Melbourne Music Week
Little King, Monday 19th November 2012

I had heard about this ages ago and still wanted to go even though I didn't get to bed until late the night before due to the Popboomerang 10th Birthday.

The two bands chosen seemed appropriate for the morning, even if they did not think so themselves. I was amused by the long bench seat turning into a seesaw/catapult when people sat on one end of it. I was surprised to see Stewart Farrell turn up looking sheepish half way through as I had last seen him being boisterous in the Tote front bar at quarter to 11 on a Sunday night.

It was good to see Sweet Jean play again and I have seen them a few times at the Caravan Music Club now.

The Orbweavers are always great to see and Marita came prepared with some historical anecdotes between songs.

I went home to have a lie down, but I was glad to have made the effort to get up early for once even if I wasn't working.
