with DJ Richie 1250, Midnite Bosom
Toff in Town, Thursday 29th March 2012
I had enjoyed Stella Angelico's support set with Clairy Browne and the Bangin' Rackettes a couple of months ago so I had been looking forward to a music release from Stella for a while. Before the show I was lucky enough to go see "Tie Her to the Tracks" as it only went for half an hour and was able to listen to Sarah and Gleny on "Max Headroom" as not many people turned up for the first hour when the DJ was playing.
Midnite Bosom were first up and from what I could find they seem mainly to play only on special ocassions. I thought they went well and there were lots more people in the room by the time they had finished.
Cheers to Simoncee and the rest of the Rackettes band who made it to the night, the room ended up being quite full by the end of the night.
Stella Angelico was great and even managed a costume change so she could wear the same thing she did in the video clip for "Mister". Special mention for the waves of fabric on stage during "No man is an island" and the volunteers they got from the audience to make the waves. The gig finished abruptly I thought mainly as they had finished all their songs. I did like the song that Stella drummed on while standing at the front of the stage and was wondering if they were going to use it. Hopefully next time they can do a longer gig with some covers and more people can have a dance.
