The Transplants Concert for DonateLife Week 2012

with special guest Derryn Hinch, FLYBZ, Paul Greene as Elvis
Caravan Music Club, Sunday 19th February 2012

The Transplants members:
Paulie Stewart (Painters & Dockers, Dilli Allstars), Shane Laffy (Adventurer, Man Friday, Rumble) Colin Badger (Painters & Dockers), Michael Badger (Painters And Dockers, Demon Parade), 'Jo' Fraser (Shameless Cover Band), Steve Dagg (Swinging Sidewalks), John Grant (Freeway, Big & Horny) and Bob Carey (The Playboys, The Platters, Olivia Newton-John)

There have already been a few charity events held at the Caravan Music Club before, but I have not been able to make them at the time. I thought I should try to make this one at least as I enjoyed seeing Paulie Stewart with the FLYBZ the couple of times I have seen him over the past year.

The FLYBZ did a couple of songs to start the day but I think there were some microphone problems so some of the lyrics were not heard. The audience seemed to enjoy them though.

The main band played great with a catalogue of well known covers and some the Painters and Dockers.

Derryn Hinch did a guest spot singing a Eric Clapton song and came back in the second half to do "You're going home in the back of a divvy van" with the band.

It was a great day, but I was a bit tired so ended up leaving early. Everyone seemed to be having fun though and I even got to see some footage on the day on Channel 7 and SBS news.
