A Day by the Green 9

with Cold Harbour, Mesa Cosa, Valentiine, The Fuck Fucks, MC Tony Biggs

I had missed the earlier bands as I was down seeing the Twoks, might have been for the best as the last time I tried to do the whole day I ended up having to leave early due to being too tired and missed the last half of the bands (I need to have a sleep on Saturday afternoon to get through the weekend.)

It was good to see Cold Harbour again, but I was also hungry due to it being almost 9pm and not having dinner. I did not want to wait until after midnight to get something to eat so I was glad to see Senor BBQ catering for the day.

Mesa Cosa were a band I hadn't seen before and they went great I thought, especially being on that late in the day and not being too pissed to play. I will have to go see them again in the future.

Valentiine have quite a few fans now and are vaguely Nirvana-ish. It was good for them to go on straight after Mesa Cosa as it was quite some act to follow.

Dave Moll kissing me meant that I already knew the Fuck Fucks were going to be messy, of course they would have been on the piss all day. While it was good to see them, I already knew what was going to happen so I left early. Cheers to Bigsy for dealing with that drunk idiot who was fucking around with the stage lighting.

It was an alright day, I might consider going again later in the year if I am not too busy. If Carbie and Wayne are there filming I am not too concerned I am going to miss photographing a band by arriving later in the day also.
