Always the highlight of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival for me and like last year I was the first person to buy tickets as soon as it went on sale. The final Half Arsed Thursday was last night and as it turned out this was going to be the last benefit show for the ASRC at the comedy festival after ten years of Scott Edgar organising it with Casey joining in since 2007 that I remember.

Along with the photos I have taken of the event since 2007, I have also met a lot of people including Aurora Kurth, Mal Webb and a lot of the other comedians and musicians who have participated in the shows over the years I have been going.

Still, it is best that it finished while organisers were still enjoying it and it certainly went out on a high with Michael Jackson being the artist being paid tribute to. People were dancing and singing along from the very first song and even during some of the later songs from Jackson's career.

I was happy to see the return of the Ladygarden and Aurora Kurth as she had a wedding on last year and I am sad that I won't get to see Kirsty Joosten now as I always looked forward to seeing her at the benefit show each year.

Onwards and upwards as ever, I also had another benefit for the ASRC the next day and hopefully next year there is something else equally as fun to attend at the comedy festival next year.
