Final Half Arsed Thursday

For the last few years I have been enjoying going to see Casey Bennetto and the Half Arsed Three the first Thursday night of the month when I could make it (although not last year as everyone decided to do their EP launches on the same day) and even manage to wake up feeling better on a Friday morning when I have to work than I would usually.

Casey decided to wind them up so he could pursue other projects and managed to get one of the biggest crowds for a while as always happens. Special guests for the night included Virgina Gay, the lovely Aurora Kurth doing "Show, Don't Tell", Mal Webb and Mike McLeish. I just about recognise some of the regulars by now as I always used to sit up the front and Casey would come down and sit on my knee.

For this show I even managed to stay for the whole thing as I did not have anything on the next day. Was great to see Casey's family in to see him and his dad even hit him on the bum with his cane at one point. I did get a big sweaty hug off Casey at the end and gave him a bottle of water to drink.

Best of luck for the future and I am looking forward to the ASRC benefit paying tribute to Michael Jackson even more now.
