Mikelangelo performs The Cramps A Date With Elvis at Pure Pop 09/01/13

It had been a while since I last saw Mikelangelo and there was a Cramps tribute night I went to a while ago now, but it wasn't what I was expecting as the bands only did one Cramps song each in their set.

Special guests for the night were Felix and Tyron from the Rechords who it is always good to see.

I even got to have a talk to Mikelangelo and Saint Clare before the show and was invited to their beach party show in February, which was good to hear.

The first set was all Elvis songs, which reminded me of my friend's radio show I used to listen to on Sunday nights.

Mikelangelo even had a costume change for the Cramps set and they reinterpreted some of the songs in their own style including doing "People aint no good" with the music of the Nick Cave version.

It was a great show and so well received that the band is doing an encore performance at Yah Yahs soon, I am sure it will get a lot of people there.
