with the Walters, the Nymphs and special guests
Northcote Social Club, Friday 10th May 2013
I wasn't sure if I could make this, but luckily I just had enough money to pay at the door. I thought I had seen the band before, but it was just Paddy who played with Oh Pep! at their EP launch last year.
The Walters played first and I thought they went well despite people talking over them.
It was great to see the Nymphs again so soon after seeing them the other week. Bek did not play up as much this time, but still did a mock walk of shame off stage due to a bad joke. I like seeing Jane having to tell Clare and Bek off for being silly.
The gig ended up selling out and was quite a good mix of people including the older crowd and hardcore bluegrass fans if there is a thing. Mustered Courage had quite a few special guests including as many banjo players as they could find at one point, I had already gone down the back so I missed getting a decent photo. The Nymphs also joined them on stage for one song.
It was a great night and worth getting home late for as always the tram did not turn up and I had to wait for ages.
