Reverend Horton Heat at the Caravan Music Club 23/05/13

with Mojo Juju
Caravan Music Club, Thursday 23rd May 2013

I had missed the Reverend Horton Heat last time he toured due to going to see El Guincho and it being a very busy time of year. Again I was glad that there was a gig at the Caravan as I wouldn't have been able to make it to his show at Billboard due to having something on and Ferntree Gully Hotel is too far away for me.

Mojo Juju are a band I had heard about, but had not had the opportunity of seeing yet. I was happy to find out that they matched up to their reputation and hopefully the play down in Melbourne more often.

As I expected, quite a lot of the people standing came up the front at the start of Reverend Horton Heat's set, but there was still enough room for dancing. The show went for longer than I expected and I enjoyed all the songs (they tried to play a song off each of their albums) and a couple of new ones too.

It was a good night and cheers to Paul Fiddes and the other people I talked to on the night. I will be back to see the Break and hopefully the taxi turns up this time when I book it, the band left before I did.
