I was originally going to go to the Stax on Soul Revue on the same night, but changed my mind due to finding out this was on. I had seen Giraffe Party do 1972 twice before, but this would probably be the last time they would do it plus it would be a local crowd with a lot of people I knew.

Cheers to Bernie for buying me some drinks so I could have some fun and not be on water all night after the one.

There were quite a few giraffes on stage for Giraffe Party and Elizabeth got up in her Go-Go Giraffe costume as usual.

I had not seen Burn in Hell do Henry's Dream at Pure Pop, so was interested in how it would go. Johnny Kicks and Jack Davies from the Bittersweet Kicks joined the band for the night along with another guest vocalist.

Finishing off the night were Billy Miller and the Love Brothers, who also went well and I went and sat with Johnny and Alicia and watched their set instead of taking photos for the most part.

It was a great night and I had such a good time I didn't end up making it back for the ANZAC Day commemorations and Mick Thomas the next day, instead hiding my head under the doona.
