Wooden Music Tour at the Caravan Music Club 01/02/13

with the Bearded Gypsy Band, Quarry Mountain Dead Rats, the Perch Creek Family Jug Band
Caravan Music Club, Friday 1st February 2013

I had enjoyed seeing the Perch Creek Family Jug Band back in December and was looking forward to seeing them again. They have been busy with various festivals since then including Woodford and Tamworth. I am sure more people came to this show than the last time and quite a few people who saw them at those festivals also came down.

It was good to see the Bearded Gypsy Band again, but not many people were dancing on the night for some reason.

The Quarry Mountain Dead Rats were playing without Kat on the night, but I was assured she would be playing with Cash Savage on the coming Sunday. The band had to slow down a bit as they were going to finish their set early from going too fast. I will have to purchase their CD in the near future.

This was the first gig of the "Wooden Music Tour" for the Perch Creek Family Jug Band touring with the other two bands and they played great. Eileen did not have to run off the stage as many times during the set and they moved the platform for the tap dancing to the middle of the stage. They did get a few people dancing towards the end, but most people seemed to be happy sitting down. My friend went to the other two shows they had at the Northcote Social Club on the weekend and there was lots of dancing there however.
