Abbie Cardwell & the Chickano Rockers Album Launch 25/07/14

I had been looking forward this album launch for a while as I supported Abbie's album on Pledge Music after hearing about it and went to see her do a solo show at the Drunken Poet.

I arrived early as the event invite said, but the doors did not open until later and then I was the first person there for quite a while. The first band was Tijuana Peanut, who I had enjoyed at the Junes album launch and I may have given them some lip due to having a bit to drink.

The bands do not start until quite late at this venue, but there were more people there by the time the Chickano Rockers started and everyone was dancing. They even had a limbo contest in the middle of the set and everyone seemed to be having fun. After this show Abbie will be going to Mexico for a few months to write some new songs and to play with her band in Mexico the Twin Tones hopefully.

It was a great show and I am happy with all the photos I got especially the one of Abbie throwing the glitter as it was hard to get that exact moment. I hope to see more of Abbie in the future.
