with the Grand Ole Twang Boys, the Cartridge Family, the Sideshow Brides, Johnny Fritz, Raised by Eagles, Cold Heart
RRR Performance Space, Saturday 7th June 2014
This came up rather quickly but I did have some warning unlike last time. Cheers to Annaliese who put me on the door and is in charge of the RRR website.
As I was talking to someone over at the Lomond I missed going in early, but I was able to get up the front near the side with Andrew Watson who was filming the day.
The Grand Ole Twang Boys were the house band for the day and did the intro and outro "y'all come" song and also the Cartridge Family who got to do their own set during the day with some new songs.
It was great to see the Sideshow Brides feature as I had not seen them for a while and they deserve a wider audience. I am looking forward to seeing them again.
Johnny Fritz is out touring with Wagons for their album launch and was well received on the day.
Raised by Eagles played well and are working on a new album, which should go well.
Cold Heart include members of the old band Gatorbait, who had been split up for a while. I had heard of them but had not seen them for a while.
It was a great show and I was glad to have attended. I am not sure what live to air broadcasts I will attend in the future, but I was introduced to the new live to air coordinator Lauren Taylor so I can hopefully attend some more.
After the show I went down to see Van Walker at the Pinnacle and then down to the events at Federation Square for a Light in Winter.
