Kinky Afro Final Show

Was not sure if I was going to make it to this show, but it was important enough that I did not want to miss it. Thanks to Annaliese and Lauren who arranged for me to be able to take photos.

Having been at the station for 29 years Karen Leng had a lot of highlights from her interviews and played some of her favourites during her show including Ween, the Butthole Surfers, Michael Stipe and the Beastie Boys amongst others.

Special guest artists for the day included Fraser A Gorman and Laura Jean. The Bohicas were meant to have played but one of them got sick during sound check at the venue they were meant to play that night. It was still good to see them being interviewed and they look like they are going to be big.

Karen Leng is going on to be a producer and presenter on Double J and will be missed at RRR by the station and listeners so it was both a happy and sad occasion.
