with the Sugar Fed Leopards, Mikelangelo and Saint Clare
as part of the Summer Jamboree
Northcote Town Hall, Sunday 26th January 2014
I was already planning on going to see the Klinger reunion show at the Northcote Social Club that night, so I was happy enough to come up earlier in the day for some free entertainment. It did mean I would have a couple of hours in between shows, but I was sure I would find something to do in that time.
Ilana even ended up coming with her dog Moses and arrived during the Sugar Fed Leopards set. I had not seen them since last November and they said I was welcome to take more photos at their shows. Lots of people did get up to dance when they played, which was good to see.
Mikelangelo played with Felix and Tyrone from the Rechords with guest songs by Saint Clare. At one point most of the Sugar Fed Leopards ended up on stage to sing with Saint Clare, which was good to see.
After Mikelangelo finished I ended up walking Ilana back to her car and went and got dinner. The afterwards as everyone was still there I went back up to the Town Hall where people were still sitting around talking. Cheers to Mikelangelo for buying me some drinks and also the volunteer who gave out watermelon. It was a fun day and hopefully they will do some more events outside the town hall in the future.
