I had heard of this gig a while back but was not sure if I was going to make it but decided to as I had not seen Miles and Simone for quite a while and I saw BJ Morizonkle the previous month. Some of the bands had not played for quite a while so it was a good opportunity to see them.

On the way to the gig I bumped into a friend who has moved into the area and we have since been to a gig at the Gem.

Due to the number of bands on the bill most of them only got to do a short set each and the singer from Lovers of the Black Bird got really angry with people talking too much. The smoke machine was a bit overactive and Simone asked for it to be turned off.

I was most happy to see Miles and Simone play and Simone do a solo set of an opera number and Kate Bush with a special appearance by Stella Angelico who wasn't meant to sing that night but got up anyway.

I was going to stay for the entire Sugar Fed Leopards set, but decided against it as I was tired by the time they came on. It was still a good night and I was glad to have gone.
