Brothel at the Central Club 03/07/15

I had not seen Brothel play for nine years since the infamous "Barrels by candlelight" gig with the Fuck Fucks in 2006 and had asked to be informed if they were doing a gig in the future. Sure enjoy Trusty Kf from the band send me a message two months before "were locked in at the central club richmond fri 3rd july. bring camera cos we now have a nanna , a French maid , a giant scrotum and my sidekick the 3 Cunt slut plus more", how could I say no to that?

There is always a lot on in Melbourne and I had to tell JVG I was not coming to Brown River for the second year in a row. Dan Warner also got some enjoyment out of it for some reason when I told him.

As it was going to be a big night I even called in to the Tiki Lounge that I hadn't been to since 2013. I only had two drinks but that was enough as they were really strong. I even had a Zombie that I had not had since 2010.

With the Central Club being just next door to the Tiki Lounge I did not have to rush anywhere. I did end up talking to the dudes from the band and the Gargomals were introduced even though they didn't turn up as usual as the band told me.

The first band that actually played was Two Headed Dog and I thought they went well.

As I said to them when Brothel started most of the people in the audience ended up on stage as they were in the band. As it turned out there were a few more people than that but there was a lot of stuff on. The people who made it had a good time and I even ran away from the stage with them when the giant poo came on stage and started throwing a suspicious brown substance out of a bucket.

It was good to see this band again and hopefully they will play with bands that actually turn up next time and I will see them earlier than nine years next time.
